Alex is a half Korean, half Italian actor born in New York City. From a young age, he was focused on sports with a career goal as a professional tennis player. His parents took him to his first Broadway show, The Lion King, which sparked his interest in acting. After high school, he decided to forgo tennis to pursue acting.

Alex trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop, and the Upright Citizens Brigade. In early 2018, he traveled to Asia for three months training with one of the world’s most renowned martial arts teams. He gained extensive combat and weapon experience, broadening his skills as an actor with the primary goal of redefining how the industry views Asian actors as leading men.

In late 2018, he landed the role of Dr. Nico Kim on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, the first male surgeon of Asian descent.

In early 2019, he landed the role of Henry Lee in the upcoming season 2 of Netflix’s Insatiable. The widely anticipated season’s release date has yet to be announced.
