Noted for his finely crafted and nuanced performances, actor James DuMont is one of the busiest actors in both film and television.

DuMont just wrapped the eight episode Mini Series: “LAW & ORDER: TRUE CRIME: THE MENENDEZ MURDERS” playing Brian Andersen, Uncle to the Menendez Brothers for NBC with Edie Falco. This is another in his growing gallery of historical characters which includes J. Parnell Thomas in Trumbo opposite Oscar nominee, Bryan Cranston, directed by Jay Roach, WB Nowlin in the Hank Williams bio-pic “I SAW THE LIGHT” opposite Tom Hiddleston and portraying Chief of Staff, Sherman Adams opposite the late Robin Williams’ as Dwight D. Eisenhower in director Lee Daniels’ “THE BUTLER”.

James was featured in CBS Films “PATRIOTS DAY” starring Mark Wahlberg, Kevin Bacon and John Goodman directed by Peter Berg and was a supporting lead in Lionsgates’ “DEEPWATER HORIZON” opposite Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell and John Malkovich also directed by Peter Berg and “JURASSIC WORLD” working with Bryce Dallas Howard, directed by Colin Trevorrow.

Other films include Focus Features’ “DALLAS BUYERS CLUB” opposite Oscar winner, Jared Leto, TriStar Pictures’ “WHEN THE GAME STANDS TALL” with Jim Caviezel and Laura Dern and Corporal Dooley in the James Brown bio-pic, “GET ON UP”, starring Chadwick Boseman and the indie thriller “CATCH HELL” starring Ryan Phillippe, which is also his directorial debut.

James recently completed a role in the indie feature comedy “LANDLINE” starring Tom Arnold and the drama “HEART, BABY” with Jackson Rathbone.

On the small screen, DuMont has had many notable recurring roles including the CBS series “NCIS: NEW ORLEANS”, FX’s “AMERICAN HORROR STORY”-“FREAK SHOW” & “COVEN” and the AMC series “HALT AND CATCH FIRE”. Other recurring roles include Captain Richard La Fouchette for four seasons on David Simon’s critically-acclaimed HBO series, “TREME”, working opposite Oscar-winning actress Melissa Leo and opposite Ray Romano on the TNT series “MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE”.

Recent guest star roles include season 2 of the Netflix hit “STRANGER THINGS” and the Fox series “24: LEGACY”. Television films include Hallmark movie, “REMEMBER SUNDAY” on ABC, with Zachary Levi and the Lifetime/History Channel mini- series, “BONNIE AND CLYDE”.
