Born and raised in Talladega, Alabama, Kate began performing in Equity stage musicals at age 12. She won a full scholarship to Vassar College, and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Drama and French Literature. After living briefly in Paris and Manhattan, she relocated to Los Angeles to focus on writing and acting. With dozens of television guest star credits, independent film roles, and a successful screenwriting career, she considers herself lucky to get to do what she loves every single day.
