Born in Germany, to a Palestinian father and German mother, Lexi Alexander, a former World Kickboxing Champion and USMC close-quarter-combat instructor, worked her way up from stunt woman to Oscar-nominated director with her first short film Johnny Flynton, a drama about a boxer. Eager to learn a common language with actors, Lexi studied at the Piero Dusa Acting Conservatory before helming feature films including the SXSW Jury & Audience Award winning drama Green Street Hooligans, Marvel’s Punisher: War Zone and Lifted. She directed episodes for TV shows such as ARROW, SUPERGIRL, SWAT and AMERICAN GOTHIC and has recently sold a movie to Blumhouse Productions & Netflix International. Lexi continues to be an avid martial artist and is currently a passionate student of the Russian style Systema.
